Student Engagement
DSCEJ has a special place in its collective heart for young people. Dr. Beverly Wright, our Founder and Executive Director, has dedicated much of her professional career to the mentorship and development of students in elementary, secondary and higher education. Through various DSCEJ internships and student programming, students have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience by immersing themselves in the work of vulnerable communities adversely impacted by environmental pollution and climate change.

DSCEJ provides educational seminars to students and integrates environmental scholars, and student interns into its programs, research, and community outreach.
We keep students informed about environmental careers and provide scholarship and research opportunities at the Center.
